From factory floor to software engineer
I'm Jos Kerris, founder of Kerris ICT. My story doesn't start behind a laptop, but on the factory floor — at Nedcar and O-I Manufacturing. That's where I saw first-hand how much time is lost to manual processes.
So I taught myself to code. First to make my own work more efficient, then to build complete systems that actually move companies forward.
I've since worked with industrial automation (Beckhoff PLC), enterprise systems (ERP, BI), AI voice applications, and full-stack web platforms. From the factory hall to the cloud — I understand the whole chain.

Beckhoff PLC programming, HMI development, 24/7 on-call and customer FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests). Learned structured thinking and building systems that must never fail.

Built a custom API integration that reduced a manual one-day workflow to 20 minutes. My first taste of what automation can really mean for a company.

Developed AI-driven phone assistants for healthcare. Speech recognition, LLM triaging, pattern recognition. Watched AI go from hype to reality.
