Technical advice without the sales pitch

Sometimes you don't need software but a clear answer: which way do you want to go, what is the actual problem, and what does it cost to leave it as it is?

What I do

Often the question isn't for a new system but for a decision. Which stack fits this scale, why won't system A work with system B, is this still maintainable, and what is better left alone? I come from both the factory floor and the software side, so I look at what is actually workable in practice, not only at what is technically possible. I don't sell licences and have no stake in any vendor.

  • Technical architecture and stack choice
  • Code review and quality assessment
  • Process analysis and improvement proposals
  • Performance and security audits
  • Cloud and DevOps setup
  • Migration to cloud or own management

How I work

1

Conversation

What's going on, who is affected by it, and what has already been tried?

2

Assess

Look at systems, processes and numbers — including what isn't documented.

3

Advice on paper

A clear story with choices and consequences, not a thick report.

4

Build or hand over

I can build it myself, or hand it over to whoever will.

In practice

Projects I actually built — not sample cases.

The problem

The ICT landscape and processes have grown organically — website, CRM and tools don't work together seamlessly yet, resulting in manual handoffs.

What I built

Structural approach: first map everything out (systems, processes, people), then build process optimization and integrations. Weekly hours, fixed day.

ERP Data Validation & BI

BIDataEnterprise

The problem

An organization struggled with data integrity in their ERP system. Errors in data led to wrong decisions, unnecessary costs and a lack of trust in reports.

What I built

A Python-based validation engine that systematically detected and categorized 30,000+ errors. Connected to a BI dashboard that gave immediate insight into data quality, trends and repair priorities.

Result

Immediate insight into data quality at enterprise scale. Repairable errors identified and prioritized. Decision-making improved through reliable data.

Who it's for

Sectors where this work pays off most.

  • Management teams facing a technical decision without the expertise in house
  • Businesses wanting to know whether their current setup is still maintainable
  • Organisations that want a vendor proposal assessed on its merits
  • Anyone wanting to know what automation would deliver before investing
  • Businesses with a system nobody dares to touch anymore

How I work

No fuss, no unnecessary meetings. Just clear agreements and steps you understand.

1. Intro call

Free, no-obligation conversation about your idea, problem or project. No sales talk — I want to really understand what you're up against.

2. Plan & quote

I work out a plan of action with concrete milestones, technical choices and a fixed price or hourly rate. No vague estimates.

3. Development

I build in short 1-2 week sprints. You see continuous progress and can steer along the way. No black box.

4. Delivery & support

Going live, documentation, and a support period. You're not on your own — you can reach me afterwards too.

5. Care retainer

Ongoing operation, tuning and further development as long as your systems run. No 'done' moment — a fixed monthly price with one point of contact.

Frequently asked questions

What clients usually want to know before they call.

We already have an IT partner. Why a second look?
Because I sell nothing. No licences, no reselling, no stake in any vendor — so the advice can equally be that you should carry on doing what you're already doing.
What if your advice turns out to be that we shouldn't change anything?
Then that's the outcome. Advice that always lands on a project isn't advice, it's a sales pitch.
Can you do just a code review?
Yes. Not every piece of advice has to become a project; a standalone assessment of existing code or architecture can stand on its own.
Do you also do the implementation, or only the advice?
Both. I can build it myself, or hand it over to whoever will — including the parts you keep in house.

In the region

I work from Vaals, on site across South Limburg and beyond.
